Hazardous Materials Facility/Tank Construction

HMCD is the local agency that regulates the construction or upgrading of hazardous materials storage/handling facilities in the following geographic areas: within the Cities of Los Altos*, Los Altos Hills, Monte Sereno, Palo Alto (underground storage tank systems only), and Saratoga; Moffett Field; San Martin; Stanford; and unincorporated areas of Santa Clara County.  In addition, HMCD handles County owned/operated facilities regardless of location, and State, Federal, and Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) facilities within the City of San Jose.
