CPD responds to veterinarian calls regarding sick birds that may be infected with psittacosis. A report is filed with Santa Clara County Public Health Nursing regarding any human cases. We also consult with local pet shops about proper psittacosis procedures.
All other animal complaints are referred to Animal Control.
